Amy Rising received her BFA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and her MAM from Columbia College in Chicago. She has been active in both TV, film and theater production.

Amy’s career started as prop stylist in TV for a Rick Bayless cooking show. After receiving her Masters, she broke into films when she produced the short film, The Signing, and has worked on many other award-winning shorts since. Her feature film credits include Death of a President, The Promotion, and Merry Gentlemen.

While her expertise is producing and her passion is teaching, Amy has also worked as an accomplished director and actor. When not working, Amy is active in several local arts organizations and she is a proud mother of 21-year old triplets.
