Bill Baykan is a media professional who has worked for HBO, Big Idea Productions and Harpo Studios. His short films have played in festivals internationally and across the country. He has also taught at the university level at DePaul University’s College of Digital Media. He is currently producing “”The Public School Wars,”” a feature documentary which examines the struggles to reform primary education. His research interests revolve around the intersection of media with cognitive science, philosophy, and psychology, as well as the science of learning and the evolution of conceptual knowledge. He is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television and has a Master’s Degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago.
