Tribeca Flashpoint College is known for providing an unrivaled range of support to help graduates step seamlessly into the real-world after graduation. In addition to teaching you the latest technologies of your field, we strive to infuse your education with critical professional skills and insider industry insights that most schools simply cannot or do not provide.
Following are just a few of the ways we groom our students for career success.
Guest Speakers and Workshops
Created by the industry for the industry, Tribeca Flashpoint is able to offer students access to a wide range of industry experts, including well-known Hollywood producers, documentarians, animators, sound designers, and game developers. These industry professionals frequently visit campus to provide our students both artistic inspiration as well as no-nonsense, insider career advice.
Industry Field Trips
Each year, Tribeca Flashpoint facilitates dozens of field trips to local media companies, including video game studios, television shows, film production companies, advertising agencies, recording studios, and animation studios. During these field trips, students have the opportunity to network with some of the companies’ key employees while gaining first-hand exposure to real-life operations.
Career Services Coursework
Through a range of classes and workshops, Tribeca Flashpoint students have opportunities to learn critical skills for effectively launching and then building their careers. Our substantive career services curricula covers essential–yet often overlooked–topics such as job search and networking in the media industry, personal branding and elevator pitches, business correspondence and interviewing skills, and portfolio preparation.
Specifically for first through third year students, Career Services hosts an annual Internship Fair at which students have the opportunity to meet with industry employers and seek out summer internships.
Career Services Week & Portfolio Show
Tribeca Flashpoint’s annual Career Services Week features a range of career-oriented activities from panel discussions and large group keynote presentations to intimate Q & A sessions with high-profile professionals. The week culminates in a Portfolio Show at which students showcase their work for a wide range of potential employers. Past attendees have included Nickelodeon, Disney Television Animation, Blizzard Entertainment, Gameloft, WB Games, Raven Software, Chicago Recording Company, Electronic Arts, FCB Chicago, Hallmark, Hulu, SyFy Network, Pilgrim Films & Television, Walt Disney World, WMS, Groovemaster Studios, Pipe Dreams, and Cutters.
While Tribeca Flashpoint is prohibited, by law, from guaranteeing employment for graduates, we will provide assistance by giving all students information on job opportunities in the area, along with helping to arrange for students to meet with other potential employers.
