Start your own Hero’s Journey now!
Here at Flashpoint Chicago, a campus of Columbia College Hollywood, we like to think of ourselves as storytellers. The programs we offer require that each student be able to craft and tell their own story. Whether the chosen medium is film, recording arts, graphic design, or digital art, we are a community of storytellers. Storytelling is constant in our community in the same way the formula for storytelling remains consistent. Enrolled students can learn the storytelling formula in The Hero’s Journey at Flashpoint, which is a blended online course with an on-campus workshop component.
- The Hero’s Journey is for new students enrolled at Flashpoint Chicago for April, July, or October terms in 2019. All students who attend the three required workshops and complete all assigned coursework will receive credit for the LIT101: The Hero’s Journey upon completion of their first term at Flashpoint.
- The Hero’s Journey consists of online tutorials and on-campus activities. Online videos are emailed to each participant with an assignment that corresponds to each video.
- The Hero’s Journey hosts three on-campus activities that encourage the participants to work on group projects that expand on concepts they are learning through their online components. Participants are required to attend all three workshops in their entirety and complete all assigned coursework in order to receive credit.
